Erin Hyatt
“Erin is an actor, singer, and writer based out of Brooklyn, NYC. Originally from the West Coast, Erin was raised by (literal) rockstar parents in Las Vegas, then got her professional start as an actor in Seattle when she was in high school (Village Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, SHOWTUNES). She studied Musical Theatre and English Literature at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, with a focus in poetry that soon turned into her first publications (City of Asylum, Washington Poetic Routes). In addition to her first artistic loves, which have taken up most of her heart, Erin passed her first level Sommelier course from the Court of Master Sommeliers, and proudly holds an Introductory Sommelier pin. Erin also spent four summers working on a horse ranch in Idaho, and will talk your ear off about it whenever you give her the chance.
Erin found KAE while trying to reconcile her love for the arts with the increasing need for societal change. She’s grateful to have found the Kangalee Arts Ensemble, a space where asking uncomfortable, revolutionary questions is encouraged, and is particularly happy to have found friendship and mentorship in Dennis.
