Our organizing producer Susan Kingsland - Social worker, activist, liberation advocate, and life-long New Yorker, Susan has worked with community-based organizations in nyc most of her career. Susan moonlights in yoga and dance, recently assisting yoga & salsa workshops at Kripalu. Current passion projects include performing afro-Brazilian percussion as a member of Batalá New York, an all-women’s drumming ensemble. Susan also devotes her time to antiwar institutions supporting direct action against militarism and imperialism. She is a strong believer that art and cultural work are vital weapons in the battle against capitalism and white supremacy.
